There are many fascinating places available in our Home town Nagercoil. But some are favorites for me

Mountain Regions: Maramalai is a high altitude steep mountain just a 2 hours drive from my place. Its chilling out there and you could definitely know the difference from your home . Once I went with YMCA group with the combination of YWCA and some other families. I and a friend from Italy smoked(cigarette) a bit due to high altitude adaptation. Some of the people in the group even told that we smoked “G” like that. But overall the trip was memorable.If you plan to go there pl have proper food . We usually have Bread,Parotta with Chicken fry and definitely B. Dont forget to have a bath in Vattaparai while returning.
In my school days I also went to Lower Kodiyar and Upper Kodiyar where my Father had large amount of contracted trees to supply for the largest paper mill in the Tamilnadu. In those days we drived even without roads hilly places with utmost risk.I still feel His heart is quite tough. In the upper Kodiyar we saw many wild animals including tiger and elephants. Its a dark forest situated in the tirunelveli District.

Another place is definitely Balamore where we went for a Youth’s Camp under the leadership of the guy called Sobitharaj who always speak loud as to disturb everyone even the animals. There I and a person called Peter went very deep into forest to explore a Palace called muthukuli. But we returned back after a large snake went above my leg. He told me it might be King Cobra or something like that. When you visit Balamore watch out for snakes.
Black Rock Estate is also very high and the roads are difficult to drive. There you find clove plantations. If someone plan a trip here dont miss any of these places. I advice you visit here in April and May.

Mt. Devasahayam :

Mount Devasahayam situated near the Aralvaimozhi in the Kanyakumari District. According to the Catholic sources, Devasahayam Pillai was executed by the king in that mountain because the former had embraced Christianity. Catholics treat Pillai as a martyr on the basis of a story invented by historian Mackenzie. Now there you will able to see a rock in which it sounds like a bell if you hit hard with a stone. It’s a beautiful location around that rock and it sounds peace to you. Personally I got few miracles in life.

When I got a project from a undisclosed Location. I got a life time opportunity but fail to impress. Whenever we went for rectification all our attempts were failed. One of my co staff told me to visit to Mount Devasahayam while returning. There I prayed with full of sorrow and during my prayer somebody told me to change something in that confirguration. In the very next day I started with that thing and assembled there. I got few nervy moments on that day because they told me stay there. But it won’t hangs while running that program and they really appreciated me. They even sanctioned another sets in a month and also made my company as one of their regular supplier especially for the higher applications. Thus Mount Devasahayam made a miracle to me.

Not only for me but for my sister who got a child after 13 years suffered with lot of low esteem. It is really a nice place to visit and pray.
